On June 10th, 2023 I was honored to teach a seminar at Six Blades Lake Travis BJJ (aka Flow Institute) and home of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor Victor Hugo who was the 2023 Absolute World Champion. It was one week after his double gold performance where he finished both his final matches in his weight class and the absolute division with finishes. It was a ton of fun showing head pressure passing to his students.
Sharing ideas on the mat with Victor, Xande, Felipe Costa and Steve Hargett was an absolute blast and I was able to bring back a ton of good info to my students as well. Their student’s are super lucky to have Victor and Steve leading from the front. After the seminar Steve went over some diamond passing concepts that I have been going over with our students. Victor went over some details with his kneebars and how he applies them in a similar manner to the overhook style armbar.
