Jubera Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu went to Northglenn, CO on April 7th. It was a first tournament for many of our students but we came away with a 2nd Place team trophy in the adult division. It was great to see the hard work of our Saturday competition class and Thursday Women’s competition class paying off.
Highlights included Pete dominating his gi division, Mac winning his first tournament after only a few months of training, Zach dominating in the no gi and Jen taking 2nd in her first tournament.
Thanks to all the support from our students. I think major takeaways would be just keeping it simple in competition. Our passing to mount and closed guard bottom were looking stellar.
The next tournament for the team will be the IBJJF Denver Open in May.
