We sent a small team to compete in the Denver Open and they all came back with gold medals!
It was an incredible display of technique and determination, but huge congrats to Marc, Ciara, Tyler and Colby. Tyler did the open weight he added a 5th gold winning in the open weight all by submission with no points given up against
Ciara secured an armbar in the finals to get the gold in a great return to competition for her. Colby submitted his way through his division getting an arm triangle and belly down armbar.
Competing in the IBJJF tournaments can bring some extra nerves, but helps prepare our guys for the international ruleset and gets them used to the process. Couldn’t be more stoked with how these athletes carry themselves on and off the mats.
Also congrats to my black belt Todd Kornfield who took another gold medal with a flying triangle win and his athletes up at Catalyst BJJ who competed great as well representing our Six Blades affiliation.
