Grappling Industries Denver May 2023

Grappling Industries Results, Wyoming Seminar

On May 23rd youth and adult team members fought really well and represented the academy with great compete and sportsmanship at the Grappling Industries tournament in Lakewood, Colorado. It is awesome seeing all the hard work pay off. In the adults we placed 5th as a team out of 75 teams with 4 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze.

Our takedowns and guard passing looked sharp. Congrats to Igor on his first gold medal and ciara and tyler for continuing their gold medal ways after the IBJJF open.

Our kids competed as well taking 7th as a team with 5 gold medals, 2 silvers and a bronze. I am always so proud of our kids. We had a few kids compete in their first tournaments as take gold such as Felix and Miles which is quite an accomplishment. Congrats to Coach casey for winning his blue belt division handily and William dominated as well.

Our next tournaments as a team will be the Grappling Industries in August and the IBJJF Masters Worlds.

Wyoming Seminar

Recently I also had a chance to teach a seminar at Western Plains BJJ in Gillette Wyoming celebrating their recent opening in their amazing new facility. As well as be on their podcast Gentle Art of War. It was a ton of fun sharing BJJ both on the mats and on the mic.

My next seminar will be at Six Blades Lake Travis, Texas home of Victor Hugo and Steve Hargett near Austin, Texas in June.
