This week I went out to Las Vegas Nevada to corner world champion Victor Hugo and also help world champion Felipe Costa as they competed at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10. In the main event world champion Victor Hugo had a rematch against CJI champion Nicky Rod. It was a great match with Victor surprising Nicky with a uchi mata takedown in overtime, then was able to secure the back and finish with a clean rear naked choke. Nicky is known for his excellent wrestling and back defense so it was an amazing finish.
To help with Victor’s camp and be cornering him alongside my instructor Xande Ribeiro was incredible. Hats off the Victor who is such a humble and hardworking individual.
