Mastering Challenges Beginner Friendly Tournament
We’ve got some exciting events coming up for our community here at Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu in Broomfield, Colorado.
First up is a beginner-friendly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament hosted at Six Blades South Denver in Littleton, Colorado. This event is designed specifically for newer students—especially kids—who are looking to experience competition in a fun, supportive environment.
Competitors will be guaranteed multiple matches, giving them a great opportunity to build confidence, gain experience, and enjoy the process of competing. Our goal is to make this a positive first step into the world of BJJ tournaments, where athletes can learn, grow, and have fun representing their team.
Training Camp in Oregon with Felipe Costa
I’ll also be traveling to Salem, Oregon to help Felipe Costa prepare for his upcoming professional match against Jon Blank. Felipe won No-Gi worlds and is a ADCC world medalist he was recently out here teaching and training in January and I got to train with him in February as well in Austin.
I had the opportunity to work with Felipe during his last Who’s Number One (WNO) appearance, where he secured an impressive win over the very tough Sebastian Attard. Jon Blank presents a similar challenge, with a dangerous false reap game that we’ll be preparing to counter.
While in Oregon, I’ll also be training with my good friend James Puopolo, a no-gi world champion and multiple-time ADCC veteran. These training camps are always a great opportunity to sharpen skills, exchange knowledge, and prepare at the highest level.
Felipe is continuing to build momentum as he prepares for ADCC later this year, and I’m excited to be part of his journey.
