Training for ADCC & CJI. Victor Hugo, Rafael Lovato Jr

ADCC & CJI Training + More

Last week I went to Six Blades Headquarters in Austin, Texas to help Rafael Lovato Jr, Victor Hugo and Felipe Costa get ready for their ADCC and CJI tournaments that happen in Las Vegas in a few weeks. It was tremendous training with my instructor Xande Ribeiro and no-gi world champion James Puopolo as well. Rafael’s is going for his last ADCC, Felipe Costa for his first and Victor Hugo will be competing for a million dollars at CJI. I feel like the last trip that Lovato Jr and Puopolo did in Colorado helped my timing and prepared me for this trip nicely. Being able to work through some guard retention material with Xande always simplifies and improves my game. I came back with pages of notes to share with my students.

Ryan took second place at one of the biggest IBJJF tournaments of the year in Florida. He submitted his way to the finals before losing a well fought match. Huge congrats to him!
